The 0-10 Challenge

The 0-10 Challenge activity belongs to Stage Five of The IMPACT Model, C for Challenge, and is designed to help you assess the current state of the critical areas of your life so you can identify which:

  • Require your immediate focus and attention.
  • Need tackling once your priority areas have been addressed.
  • Can be nurtured, strengthened, or even left alone to run themselves.

Developing a Relationship with Challenge

Challenge is part of life. Too little leaves us comfortable but unchanged. Too much can leave us overwhelmed and exhausted. Lasting personal growth depends on finding the right balance.

The 0–10 Challenge Activity helps you understand your relationship with challenge by identifying where each area of your life sits on the challenge spectrum. Once you know whether challenge is too little, too much, or just right, you can make better decisions about where to focus your time and energy.

The activity will help you:

  • Identify where challenge is helping you and where it is holding you back.
  • Recognise the areas that deserve your attention first.
  • Focus your time and energy where they can make the greatest difference.
  • Develop a realistic and sustainable plan for change.
  • Identify where additional support would help you achieve your goals.
